I’m thrilled to step into a role that’s as exciting as it is meaningful. It is not just looking after the bottom-line, but will add huge value to society. I’m proud to announce that I’ve accepted the position of Interim Group Finance Director and Consultant at The Social Impact Academy!
This isn’t just about spreadsheets and budgets (though there will be plenty of those too!); it’s about contributing to a brighter, more sustainable future. The Social Impact Academy is on a mission to drive change across #Neurodiversity, Netzero, ESG, and SocialImpact—areas that resonate deeply with me.
In this role, I’ll be working closely with the incredible team at the Academy to ensure our financial strategies not only support sustainable growth but also pave the way for a positive impact on future generations. Throughout his career he has also worked closely with nonprofit businesses such as Macmillan, Brook, and alcohol advice service Drinkaware, while doing pro bono work for universities and colleges in more deprived areas of London.
As a person who has lived with neurodiversity throughout his career, Matt has become increasingly aware of the inefficiencies in companies when it comes to understanding ESG and implementing successful strategies, especially in the area of social responsibility. In recent years he has started to explore ways of raising awareness of neurodiversity and the role it plays within businesses, with the end goal of better assimilating neurodiverse individuals into companies and helping them better nurture neurodiverse talent.
With a commitment to driving long-lasting change, Matt is proud and excited to now be joining the talented team at ESG Global Partnerships and the Social Impact Academy, as a Non-Exec Director. Here he will be working closely with founder Mark Hamilton-Taylor, Chairman Graham House, and MD Tom Everard to help shape the design and execution of the proposition and build a strategy for continued growth. With many innovative projects about to launch, Matt and the team will be looking to work in partnership with global companies who share this same passion for social change and more effective use of ESG resources and budgets.

Chief Advocate
for Systemic Change
I have been incredibly fortunate to have a career that allows me to connect with others whilst building strong client relationships. From leading a sales team to working solo developing small businesses, I truly enjoy what I do.
I'm an advocate for mental health and Autism, particularly for females who are currently being detained or at risk of being detained under the Mental Health Act.
I'm campaigning for a new law to be introduced into Parliament, “Lolly’s Law, “ in memory of my daughter, Lauren.
I believe Lolly’s law will make a huge difference to a lot of young people and adults who not only remain detained under the Mental Health Act but to those who are also at risk of being hospitalised.
I want to make sure that no family has to go through what we have experienced and I'm calling for the Government to enact Lolly’s Law - a law to protect vulnerable people from experiencing what happened to Lauren.
My goal is to prevent what happened to Lauren, from happening to anyone else, education is key.

I write about empathy, trust and compassion in healthcare, mainly because these are the most important contributors to healing for both patients and clinicians.
Since qualifying as a Doctor in 2012 and subsequently becoming a GP, I’ve witnessed the beauty and the beast of healthcare in the NHS.
I’ve witnessed trauma working in overcrowded A&E departments, understaffed wards and stretched GP surgeries. I’ve seen the beauty of teams working tirelessly to care for patients.
I’ve told people they have lifelong or terminal illnesses.
I’ve told families they’ve lost loved ones. And then had to push things down and move on.
I’ve received the kindness and wisdom of colleagues, mentors and therapists and learned ways to unload the stress in healthier ways. Some of my colleagues haven’t been as lucky as me. They work in punishing environments and have managers and colleagues who make things more difficult. Some have been driven to leave their jobs.
Some have damaged souls. Some have tragically lost their lives.
And despite technological advances, workforce projections will not match demand and conditions in healthcare will get worse for patients and staff.
We need to find solutions as a society to keep people in caring professions.
This will require:
1. Reducing demand for healthcare services.
2. Improving the quality of care interactions and work for clinicians.
3. Improving the pay and providing proper support for everyone who works in traumatic conditions.
I have ideas based on my clinical experience in general practice, functional medicine and cognitive therapy on how to improve each of these criteria.
Trust, authenticity, vulnerability, connection, courage, empathy and compassion will be the glue that holds all of these ideas together.

At 17, during the stress of A Levels, I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Facing cancer at such a young age was a harrowing experience, but it also became a profound source of resilience and perspective.
This experience has driven my political engagement. I am a strong believer that the voices of those who have faced life's trials and tribulations must be heard at the highest levels of decision-making. Bringing people's lived experiences into the corridors of power shouldn’t just be a goal, it's a necessity. Our society thrives when policies reflect real-world struggles and drive impactful solutions towards a sustainable future.

I am 17 years old and have a deep passion for motor racing, starting with karting at a young age and continuing with motocross. I also love boxing and any challenge that pushes me physically and mentally.
At the heart of what I do now is something far more personal. Growing up neurodivergent, I was often misunderstood, as were many of the traits that shaped me. It wasn’t until I saw my father’s late diagnosis that I began to connect the dots in my own life and realized how many children and adults, like my brother, are unfairly judged or overlooked by the world around them. This realisation led me to join the Social Impact Academy.
Having a father who supports and understands me has been so important when the world doesn’t listen or even try to understand. I am deeply proud to be part of something that is driving real change, alongside my father, who founded the academy. My mission is to ensure that no one else goes through the same isolation and misunderstanding that I did.
I want to help other neurodivergent people find their voice and show the world their incredible strength and potential.
Through persistence and determination, I’ve also had the incredible opportunity to pursue a modelling career, being selected by one of Europe’s leading men's model agencies. This has led to the chance to walk the runway at Paris Fashion Week, with future plans for Milan and Tokyo Fashion Week, though these are on hold until next year. Modelling has opened doors for me, but it’s also a testament to the strength that comes from facing adversity and embracing who you are.
I am currently learning to trade after watching my father work as an interim COO for one of the world’s most successful commodities companies. The financial markets intrigue me, and I’m eager to learn and grow in this space. I am grateful for the challenges life has thrown at me, and I am fortunate to have the unwavering support of my family, who truly know and understand me.
I am also building businesses designed to empower autistic and neurodivergent individuals, giving them a platform to shine in ways they may never have felt comfortable doing before. Too often, our stories remain untold until someone asks us to speak, and it shouldn’t be that way. I’m here to change that, to help us all stand tall and proud, and to use our unique strengths to make a real impact.

Neurodiversity & NetZero
I am so proud of the team assembled to be a part of The Social Impact Academy, an organisation committed to driving meaningful change in our society. As someone who was late-diagnosed with High Func Aspergers at 48 years old—after masking my dyslexia since I was 9—I’ve experienced firsthand the challenges and misunderstandings that come with being neurodivergent. This has been further underscored by the struggles my two incredible sons have faced in their educational journeys.
Proudly born and bred in Warwickshire, I’ve witnessed the systemic failures that have let down thousands of children. Rather than just be moaning about these shortcomings, I am determined to make a tangible difference and bring value back to our community. This conviction has driven me to relocate The Social Impact Academy’s headquarters to Warwickshire, and our very first mission is to champion neurodiversity.
Our goal is to create an inclusive environment that recognises and celebrates the unique strengths of neurodiverse individuals. With over 1 in 7 people being neurodiverse, it’s crucial that we leverage this potential for the greater good. I am excited to collaborate with a passionate team and stakeholders to transform perceptions and support neurodiverse communities in thriving.
Join me in this important endeavour to make Warwickshire—and the world—a more inclusive and supportive place for everyone. Together, we can turn challenges into opportunities and build a future where all minds are valued.

Chris has a passion for the process of achievement and has been a bespoke motivational speaker delivering specific client briefs for over 20 years obtaining top feedback scores. In everything he says and does he challenges the concept of limitation.
When his first ultra the Marathon Des Sables was covered around the world, his words were quote of the week in Time Magazine: 'The biggest limits in life are those we impose on ourselves often without even realising it.'
What’s the point of life?
Every time I thought I’d die (there have been many) this question dominated my mind. For each of us answers are different but there are common themes. Finding meaning & purpose: When we have our ‘why’ the ‘how’ becomes easier. So, what’s my ‘why’? To help people make the best of their lives & do what they do better. Oh, & to spread kindness, sunshine & good humour, because life’s too short to go around with a bottom lip like a rolled-up sleeping bag.
The most unhappy people I know are totally self-focused & ungrateful. I understand life does that sometimes & have every sympathy for people in that place. I’ve learned the importance of not being a victim & taking ownership. If everything’s my fault; I can do something about it. The happiest see the bigger picture, have a focus beyond themselves & are thankful for everything. I choose to be even more thankful for my left arm & left leg than I was before I lost my right arm & leg. That’s how I choose to see life & we often have more choices than we realise. I pursue wisdom. There’s always something to learn. A wise man once said… Oh I’m sorry I’ve forgotten what he said!
Life’s about enthusiasm. The price of negativity is too high to pay. The two most infectious things I know: are negativity & enthusiasm. I love life, interested in nearly everything but avoid the things I hate & am rubbish at, which is why I gave up attempting to be a professional harp player.
I have a passion for the process of achievement, possibly because everything most people do takes me three times longer. When I was blown up family and friends said Chris Moon’s life is over his total identity involves having two arms and legs. His loves running, gardening, hill walking, motorcycling & mending things. He lives for his work clearing landmines. I love my work even more now & by changing the way I thought, understanding the process of achievement & working with others I can do all those things again. If you’re wondering how a one-armed one-legged man rides a motorbike the answer is very very carefully.
We’re a gregarious species. When you’re dying you think of the people you love & those who’ve loved you & all you want is a little kindness. We shouldn’t wait to the end of our lives to recognize this truth. I love being part of a team. So, let’s make the best of it & party. I’ve had the good fortune to work all over the world with different nationalities, cultures & religions & I’ve realized our similarities are far greater than our differences.
This is a small part of my story- I'd love to hear yours...
